Invited Talk at M-ITI, Madeira Interactive Technologies

On October 3rd I will give a talk at the M-ITI, Madeira Interactive Technologies (Portugal). The title of the talk is “A holistic approach to the design of digital musical instrument”. By going through a number of projects that we have been working on at the Augmented Instruments Lab, I will argue that theory and praxis of musical interface design would benefit from a holistic approach, combining knowledge and methods from different disciplines - among which HCI, Music Cognition, and Philosophy.

The day after, I will be in Doctoral Consortium panel for the SIID Conference, organised by Raul Masu, Nuno Correia, and Deborah Castro. Really looking forward to that!
